Laren Cho
Lauren Cho, a native of Seoul, South Korea, relocated to the United States where she received a Master’s in Music from University of Redlands in California. She is an active freelance flutist and music educator in the Los Angeles area. Lauren joined LA United Choir to perform Beethoven Symphony No. 9 with the LA Philharmonic Orchestra under Zubin Mehta at Disney Concert Hall. She has also performed with El Camino College Symphony Orchestra, The Pianoforte Symphony Orchestra, and Loma Linda University Church Orchestra. Lauren privately taught piano and flute at the South Bay Junior Academy and served as conductor of the University of Redlands Flute Choir and the Haneul Education Center Children’s Choir. Lauren loves to play Contra-Alto Bass Flute in F. She released the Compact Disc recording, “Concerto for Two Low Flutes and Marimba” with Double Contrabass Flutist Roland Tso and music by Chikako Iverson. Lauren enjoys performing with several flute ensembles such as the Los Angeles Flute Orchestra, Song of the Angels, and Pipe Dream Flutes and Friends.
