The Los Angeles Flute Orchestra (LAFO) is a professional flute ensemble that was formed in 1999 and has performed in venues large and small throughout Los Angeles for over 20 years. The group is committed to playing original music in a wide variety of styles that ranges from classical to contemporary, as well as jazz, world, folk and rock. The LAFO has been invited to perform at numerous National Flute Association Conventions and has performed in San Diego, Anaheim, Las Vegas, Chicago, and Salt Lake City. Their innovative sound and style has led to collaborations with celebrated flutists such as Ali Ryerson, Peter Sheridan and Jim Walker. The group currently has multiple recordings including their latest release Nighthawks.
